La Leche League of Worcester, Massachusetts

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. All breastfeeding mothers and pregnant women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our free meetings or call our Leaders for breastfeeding help.

Membership in La Leche League is $40 for one year. The membership fee helps support local Groups, our Area, and the international organization. Membership benefits include a one year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine and a discount on items purchased from the LLLI Catalogue.

Meetings

The Worcester La Leche League holds both day and evening and meetings. Meetings are held at Blessed Sacrament Parish in the Phelan Center, 551 Pleasant Street, Worcester.

Day meetings are held at 9:30AM-11:30 PM on the second Tuesday of each month (no morning meetings in July or August).
Evening meetings are held at 7:00-9:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month (no evening meeting in December).

Meetings are canceled if Worcester schools are closed due to the weather.

Meeting #1 "Advantages of Breastfeeding" Jan, May, September

Meeting #2 "At Home With Your New Baby" February, June, October

Meeting #3  "Changes, Adjustments, and Needs" March, July (no day meeting in July), November

Meeting #4  "Baby's Changing Needs" April, August (no day meeting in August), December (no evening meeting in December)

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who are accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. La Leche League Leaders are available for phone calls regarding meeting information and whenever you have breastfeeding questions that cannot wait until the next meeting.
