How Do I Join UUS-L ?
UUS-L is run by an automated system called LISTSERV. You subscribe and unsubscribe by sending e-mail messages to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.BUFFALO.EDU.
To join the list, send a one-line message containing:
SUBSCRIBE UUS-L your real name
To leave the list, send a one-line message containing:
SIGNOFF UUS-L
You can either receive each message individually, or you can receive the
entire day's message in a single digest.
To switch between digest and single-message reception:
SET UUS-L DIGEST
SET UUS-L NODIGEST
There are dozens if not hundreds of other LISTSERV features; send a message containing HELP to find out about many of them.
Other Unitarian Universalist resources on the Net
The Net is full of U-U resources.The usenet newsgroup soc.religion.unitarian-univ is just down the virtual hall. It has a similar charter to UUS-L, but is run entirely separately and has a somewhat different group of participants.
The Unitarian Universalist Association offers a site with inforomation about the denomination, a church locator, and links to many other on-line resources.
Dozens of U-U churches have home-pages on the Web. Two home pages that happen to be located on the same computer as this page are First Parish (Lexington, Mass.) and First Unitarian Church of Ithaca, N.Y..
